Renewed motivation

Since I started doing TOT school with Mika there's been some up moments and down moments in our 'playtime'. Of late there's more down moments than up and it has not even been a month!

Lately it seems like Mika is more interested in destroying his lesson materials. He will rip, fold or throw the flashcards or puzzles inthe air and laugh happily. He also prefers stacking up his books and used it as a stool to reach for stuffs on the high shelves! He enjoys screaming, jumping, climbing tables and shelves and making a mess out of everything.

Free & easy week

What was suppose to be My Body week turned out to be a rojak (mix) lesson week. It was easier to prepare for colours & shapes week because we already have most if the items at home . But for learning human body I have like 1 set of flashcards and 1 tiny book with pictures of kid's body parts and that's it! I wanted to do My Body because lately he like to say 'nose' and 'bumbum' (he says this everytime I bathe him). For your info bumbum means But or Behind or Ass :)

TOT School

I wanted Mika to have an early start in playschool because I believe the structured learning environment would helped him better in his early learning phase. And of course exposure to other children will be good for his social development. Unfortunately I've discovered that most playschool in Kota Kinabalu only accepts toddler age 2.5 and above. My Mika is about 1.9 year, so I guess playschool have to wait for now.

An introduction

I used to think that nothing or no one else is more important than me. Yes I'm very self-absorbed...was... well actually just a little less now that I'm a mother. And that's only because my self-absorbedness is being overshadowed by my precious baby who seem to think that the world revolved around him. Ok Mika's not really a baby per se coz he has mastered walking, running, slapping, hitting, screaming and whatever tantrum baby at his age is supposed to do. My baby son is fast approaching the 'terrible-two' age and mummy is worried of what to come haha!
