So going with what I assume was Mika's interest of the week, I downloaded some more flashcards and videos from youtube and went ahead with the theme. In short he didn't like it. He didn't like the flashcards and he didn't like the book either.
So we did some other stuff like....
Transferring poms exercise using tongs. This curvy tongs is much easier for him to handle.
Abah came home late from work and started disturbing our tot training *grrr*
He also did Thomas & Friends stencil activity book
One of Mika's favourite activity now is this Gigo building set. At first Abah nagged Mummy for spending so much on the building set but seeing how much Mika love this, he's now considering of getting more hehe!
I bought this set at a popular book fair at 1Borneo and it cost about RM179. The seller was from KL and they were in town for the bookfair. If you are interested to purchase this go to this website. It's suppose to help with hand-eye coordination, construction skill, organization skill and creativity thinking. The main reason why I decided to buy this is because it's bigger than the average building blocks out there and more suitable for Mika's little hand. Those standards size building blocks are more suitable for 3 years and above and I do noticed that Mika always asking for helped to separate the pieces he put together. So it was a good investment. Mika also have mega blocks but this set is now his favourite :D
Enticed him to play with this bead balancing wooden toy but he didn't like it...for now that is. This will be kept in the box until he is ready to play with it again.
My Mika and his 'cucut' *love*
Still having problem weaning him off it.
I also bough him a new book for our animal theme week and he's getting a sneak peak.
Told Mika to kiss the book hehe.
I've been teaching him to love and kiss all his books to help him cultivate more interest in books, hopefully :)
Yay for new books!
Been looking for this Category Box online but most are selling in KL and this item is quite heavy so shipment is a bit costly. I finally found one by chance when my husband went to Lowes in Karamunsing to look for a laminating machine (been asking him to get me one so I can prepare more DIY materials for Mika's tot school :D). This category box was the last one available so I grabbed it immediately. Cost about RM68 but asked for a discount and I manage to buy it at RM60, a very good deal indeed because the one that I was eyeing online cost RM78 minus shipment cost! So pleased with myself and I'm beginning to like this Lowes shop. Will be visiting more often :D
And here's the laminating machine! I immediately laminated all my flashcards coz Mika have been destroying it during our flashcard exercise.
So that was week 2 activities.
Looking forward to update more on animal week. Till then :D
